Can we overcome Racism?

There are many activist groups that stand up for the rights of different social classes in America today. However, I find that they take sides and start pointing the finger by placing the blame of someone's behavioral problems on skin color, religious preference, or cultural upbringing.
Let me give a couple examples to make my points of opinion clear to all.
The quality and segregation of education within various public school districts. I find it hard to believe that college educated and state licensed teachers are placed within a specific school based upon the district's social class of people.
Illegal aliens are being targeted and unjustly picked up, charged for a crime, and deported. I find it hard to be sympathetic when first off, these people are here illegally and should not have the same rights as legitimate citizens who live and work in this country.
Religious groups claiming to be misunderstood and unfairly targeted. I find it hard to understand and side with a religion who reacts with hatred and destructive behavior when their practices are being questioned. I believe that religion is supposed to promote peaceful & tollarant behavior within all individuals no matter what their religious preference is. And that the ultimate judgement whatever it may be, is carried out by the God or Higher Being that the religion is based upon.
I just wonder wheather it can ever be possible to resolve these social issues with a clear and humaine attitude. Stop looking at the here and now, but the long term benefits. Learn from mistakes of the past, stop living in the past and apply what we've learned to better ourselves now and in the future.

Differences in how Government tracts it's citizens.

I often wonder why our government agencies can't find a common link in tracking the citizens of this country. How hard can it be to keep track on a national level of the names and descriptions of illegals that have been caught by the INS. Not to mention keeping track of the illegals that have been arrested, finger printed, photographed, & or convicted of criminal activity.

Take for instance, the government is able zero in and keep track of citizens that owe them money.
When the common citizen owes taxes to either the state or federal agencies, they sure are under the radar, and those collection agencies will stop at nothing in the persuit of obtaining the sums, plus interest and penalties that is owed to them.
When the common citizen needs to renew their Driver's License, any discrepancy on their driving record may prohibit them from obtaining a license until all fines are paid in full.

Is it too hard for this government's collection agencies and national security agencies to put their heads together and come up with a solution to a common cause in Tracking America's Citizens?
And if a National Database is in existance, why is it not being used?

Is Government keeping us Safe?

How confident are we, The American People in our belief that the government in both state and federal levels keeping us safe? Let me begin by listing a few important security issues...
1.  How secure do we feel about protecting our children?
From abduction, exploitation, sexual predators, abuse, & school safety.
2.  How secure do we feel about protecting ourselves in our homes?
From invasion & robbery, burglery, our rights to protect on private property.
3.  How secure do we feel about protecting our privacy?
From snooping neighborrs, tracking finances, phone & wire taps, etc...
4.  How secure do we feel about protecting ourselves from terrorism?
Safe travel here & abroad, safe from certain groups in our community, etc...
5.  How secure do we feel from the growing invasion of Illegals entering this country?
From securing the land boarders, sea ports, airports, capture & deportation of illegals.
6.  How secure do we feel about protecting ourselves from other types of crime?
The Right to Bear Arms, Counting on Law Enforcement for Protection, Counting on the
Courts for Victim Rights and Protecton, etc...
In my opinion, my government has failed me and my community in every one of the points I just mentioned. It is hard to trust in a government that,
a.  Approves funds to build a Border retaining wall and then doesn't start it's construction.
b.  Can't keep track of and deport Illegals convicted of criminal acts.
c.   An inability to arrest, convict, encarcerate, keep track, & protect our children from child
     predators and abusers.
d.  Democratic & Congress leaders interference in decisions regarding the war, by not letting
the military leaders do their job without having to justify every move they make.  You can't
put a "Time Limit" on war, it is not a chess game. However, war is like a chess game, the
strategy is always changing w/each campaign. And you can't let your opponent know what
your next move is going to be. Each branch of government should know their own place.
e.  Loss in integrity, transparenty, ability to honestly represent the best interests of the
citizens who voted them into their leadership seats.
The list of failures can go on and on.  For all the taxes I pay to fund projects that are supposed
to benefit me as a citizen of these United States, do not seem to apply towards me.  Instead, it's a costly price to pay for living expences, medical costs, & legal representation for the criminals and illegals that my taxes are really paying for.
I've been asked which party I stand behind, Republican, Democratic, or Independant. I used to call myself a Conservative Republican.  However, my opinions have dramatically changed over the past few years. Because of the "School Yard" bickering from all parties of government, and the inability to agree on key issues. I've decided that I don't want leadership from any "Party".
I want leadership from the best person/persons who can debate an issue, make important decisions based on all the facts, and lead this country with integrety and dignity, not one who is picked from, "Best Party Host" so to speak...

The Forgotten

I wrote this poem to express my opinion as a Patriotic and Concerned Citizen.  One who has been, and continues to loose Trust and Confidence in the State of Affairs of this Nation.
Growing mistrust of the Elected Officials placed in Leadership positions to represent the Best Interests for her, her family, and her community.

The Forgotten

Forgotten, what the "National Anthem" represents.
Forgotten, English, the National Language of the U.S.
Forgotten, U.S. Values born of "One Nation Under God"
Forgotten, punish & hold ALL who corrupt accountable.
Forgotten, honest representation from Elected Leaders.
Forgotten, truth in reporting events without an agenda.
Forgotten, respect & loyalty for the Sitting President.
Forgotten, the heros who sacrificed their lives for us.
Forgotten, a nation united in a time of war.
If the American People do not wake up soon.
Our Great Nation, and the American Culture will be,
FORGOTTEN!!!
